Toads Guide Shop descriptions

Katie Cole (mountainsurf) wrote - The Uncompahre River has its beginnings high atop Red Mountain pass in the Beautiful San Juan Mountains. It becomes a trout fishery as it approaches the town of Ridgway on its way to the reservoir. The “Unc” is released from the Ridgway Dam and flows through Montrose on its way to the Gunnison River, and provides several public access fishing opportunities. The jewel of the river is at “Paco”, or Pa-co-chu-puk, the tail water fishery below the Ridgway Dam in the Ridgway State Park. Rainbows, Browns and Cutthroat trout. (09/13/12)
Katie Cole (mountainsurf) wrote - The gold medal waters of the Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park is world famous for its flyfishing, scenery, whitewater rapids, and wildlife. This truly is a must do trip at least once in a lifetime. Many clients come back year after year, no matter what it takes, because of their experiences on the water. We take great pride in booking the best guides on the river and work with the best outfitters to provide you with the best permit dates. We work with licensed outfitters permitted through the BLM.
