Tim Mack (sportsmanselite) reported - 2 - Good fly fishing: The ranchers are irrigating so water levels can drop real fast. The water is clear. Caught many Rio Grande Chumbs and a few Rainbows. Still can't locate the Browns. They are not holding where they used to. (04/22/10)

Rio Penasco is running clear and low due to the irrigation season. The ranchers are drawing water to their fields and crops so on certain days the water level will drop. Fishing can be difficult with the low and clear condition so stealth is key. (04/22/10)
