Jeff Hubbard (pmriver) reported - 2 - Good fly fishing: Pere Marquette River Fishing Report 7/26/10
The PM is fishing good for Trout. Towards the end of last week fishing started to pick up more with some much needed cooler weather and rain. The water now has a little stain to it and the temps cooled down some making the fish much more active. For flies during the day try Hoppers,Ants and Damsels. If that doesn't work go down to the fish, with small Streamers or Wet Flies or even try some Nymphing. In the evening bigger Stones and Stimulators are working. After dark Mousing should start to pick up again with the little bit of rise to the water from the recent rains. Also check out a quick and deadly Mouse pattern on the Flies page. Pics from last week: Jim joined me for a great day on the water we spent the day throwing hoppers on the bank and he cashed in. A couple curious viewers watching us fish away on a great afternoon. Check out the gallery page which has been updated with Fall '09 steelhead photos. Drop me an email if you want to book a trip, or if looking for an up to the minute report.
Tightlines,
Jeff

Jeff Hubbard (pmriver) reported - 2 - Good fly fishing: The Pere Marquette is fishing well for Trout. The Dry Fly fishing hasn't been great due to recent rains and colder weather were getting.Streamer fishing has been good though. Look for Hex's and other methods of fishing after dark to start to pick up. For more info contact me at (06/08/10)
Jeff Hubbard (pmriver) reported - 3 - Fair fly fishing: Steelhead season is now over for me here on the Pere Marquette River. It's time to grab the trout rods. Brown trout fishing for the summer of 2010 is looking great. Fish are healthy, big and plenty around. (04/23/10)
Jeff Hubbard (pmriver) reported - 3 - Fair fly fishing: Steelhead fishing was great last week with the high water and nice stain. Things though are going to get tougher as water is getting clear and warm. We need some rain. For a more up to date report check out www.outfittersnorth.com (03/22/10)
Jeff Hubbard (pmriver) reported - 3 - Fair fly fishing: The Pere marquette is still fishing good for Steelhead, however it's is gettting tougher by the day. We could really use some water in the river. The water is low and clear which is making the bite tough on sunny days. I'm seeing some newr fish entering the system though in the lower river so it's just amatter of time and water level when we should start seeing a good push of Spring Steelhead. For more info check me out on the web at www.outfittersnorth.com (03/02/10)
