I fished this river for the first time today and am quite speechless. I didn't know there were any native streams around here. I caught 3 brookies in about 2 hours, better luck than i've had at most of the stocked streams in this area. They were all around 12/13 inches and two of them were noticeably chunky, really healthy fish. To do this well when the water is still cold is quite impressive for any stream. Thats what I call a pure trout stream. Make sure you release the fish gently, barbless hooks, catch and release only. A picture isn't worth a dead fish. (1/19/13)
