Sespe Creek reports

Randy Weir (Randy Weir) reported - 3 - Fair fly fishing: Even though it's a La Nina year we have got a fair amount of rain this season. We should have a good spring and early summer fishing on the Sespe. If you want to learn where the wild trout of the Sespe are ... set up a guide trip with me this spring. Randy Weir / Fly Fishing the Streams of Ventura County / (03/15/11)
Ken Blaich (Ken Blaich) reported - 4 - Poor fly fishing: We fished on 4/9/10. Although the water level was excellent, there were no fish. Caddis and Mayflies were plentiful. The fish have not moved upstream yet due to the recent drought conditions. It should be good in May. The Sespe Rocks. (04/11/10)
John Swain (shibaiman) reported - 4 - Poor fly fishing: April 6, 2010. Drought left no water last year, so despite the rains this winter and spring, and lots of water in the creek, the fish have not yet made it back up to the reaches of Lions Camp. (04/10/10)
russell hunziker (hunz1234) reported - 4 - Poor fly fishing: hiked from Lions camp to Willet and no fish. Low water (05/31/09)
Randy Weir (Randy Weir) reported - 3 - Fair fly fishing: I took a trip up to the Los Padres National Forest / Sespe creek area last week to check out the water flows and see just how much snow had dropped by the Pacific storms. The flows look good for this time of year ... we should have some good fishing this spring! Fly Fishing the Streams of Ventura County with Randy Weir

Randy Weir (Randy Weir) reported - 3 - Fair fly fishing: It's still too early for good fishing. You could find a few fish if you put some time in on the stream. We've had lots of rain and snow which will help Sespe Creek to fish good this spring thru fall. Looking forward to catching those feisty rainbows and taking clients up on this beautiful stream. Will update report has conditions improve. Fly Fishing the Streams of Ventura County - TIGHT LINES Guide Service - Randy Weir (02/20/09)
