White River Guide Service/Paul D (whiterivergs)

White River Guide's profile summary

Hello, and thank you for choosing WHITE RIVER GUIDE SERVICE. I guide only on the White River. I figure it will take a person a life time to know a river so I only guide on the Whtie. I guide for Salmon and Steelhead using individual pontoon boats. Doing so gives my clients a unique experiance. It also helps a beginning angler understand the dynamics of a river better, plus its fun. My rate is $200.00 for full day (8-10 hrs/1 or 2 people) and $100.00 for half day (1 or 2 people). Thank you again. Paul D.
State: Michigan.

White River Guide Service/Paul D (whiterivergs) reported - 3 - Fair fly fishing on the White River, Michigan
Hello Everyone. I had some time to myself and did some fishing yesterday. I went to various places along the White and hit the holes, runs and came up with a big slice of nothing. I did manage to see a steelhead swim by me so on the bright side I did see a fish. I talked to others on the river and they were doing the same. Well I know its only going to get better with time. The water levels were up a bit so be careful wadding PLEASE. Small stoneflies were hatching/coming out of the water around noon. It was a great day to be out. Thank you (02/27/11)

I fished yesterday for 4 hours at Podunk and other public access points. The weather man said it was going to be 28 degrees and to me that meant that my guides were not going to ice up every cast(which they didnt). I fished chuck n duck style and I fished with an indicator rig and could not get anything to take my offering. The berometer was on the rise but still low (29.70) and the river was clear and pushing on my waders which made wading a little tricker than norman. Shelf ice was everywere and patches of ice would bump me in the river. Be careful out there !! (01/16/11)

We had some beautiful weather a few days ago (50's) so I could not sit still without getting out myself and seeing what there was to be had. The water was up ever so slightly but still clear. I used small flies while indicator fishing and caught one 16 inch brown trout. No steelhead at all and my brown trout was a lot better than what other people were doing. They just were not bitting that beautiful day on the White. (01/04/11)

Guide Trips available! $200.00 Fish/floated the White and the White is full of Suckers and for the few who were able to catch some very spooked Steelhead and Walleye. The river is a bit low but over all its in great shape and the fishing is fantastic. (03/30/10)
White River Guide Service/Paul D (whiterivergs) reported - 2 - Good fly fishing on the White River, Michigan
