Greg's reports

Greg Bennett (putmbac gs) reported - 1 - Excellent fly fishing on the Omak Lake, Washington
I live close to Omak lake so I get to fish it pretty regular and as the water starts to warm up after the freezing, frozen winter late March and the first few weeks into spring the fish really turn on and cruze the shorelines. large streamers with lots of flash work well for me. the water can be gin clear if the wind is not blowing to heavy. I like to use an intermittent line and cast from my pontoon boat toward shore into 3-7 ft of water and let my bug get close to the bottom and in jerky retrieves. On the southend of the lake Cow pie beach there are a couple of big rock that you can stand on and spot fish and cast you them as they make their rounds, very exciting. (03/25/16)
